KATHY TODD

KATHY TODD is an artist who exhibits primarily in Cornwall, England, and previously in London and New York. She began her career as an illustrator with clients that include New York Vogue, British Vogue, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Travel and Leisure, The Atlantic Monthly, GQ, Houghton Mifflin, Little Brown amongst many others. Her children's book 'Snow' was published in 1983 by Addison Wessley. Teaching credits include life drawing and illustration at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln Massachusetts and also at the Cambridge Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

For many years Kathy lived and worked on the beautiful and exotic island of Tresco, part of the archipelago of The Isles of Scilly, 23 miles off the coast of Cornwall, UK. The magnificent, luminous light of these islands continues to be the main influence of her work

Kathy has placed many paintings in healing environs that include The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, St Julia's Hospice, Cornwall, St. Nicholas Church, Tresco and Culia Ki Clinic, Massachusetts. Her work is in the permanent collection of Tresco Estate, including The Island Hotel, Hell Bay Hotel, The Flying Boat Club as well as the many cottages that dot the island.

Kathy Todd is represented by Gallery Tresco, Isles of Scilly, UK and The Pendleton Arts Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born in 1949 and currently lives in Bellevue, Kentucky.
